About

Built on Science. Expressed in Color.

ColorSpectrum transforms decades of personality research into an experience that is immediate, beautiful, and genuinely useful.

Why Color?

Color is the fastest language the human brain processes. Before you know why, you react. Carl Jung observed that color preferences reveal unconscious psychological tendencies. Max Lüscher's clinical research confirmed that color choices correlate measurably with personality traits and emotional states. ColorSpectrum builds on this tradition while integrating modern frameworks: Big Five (OCEAN), MBTI typology, Holland occupational codes, and the Enneagram.

The result is a 20-question assessment that cuts through verbal bias — rather than asking "do you prefer planning or spontaneity?" we surface preferences through imagery, dilemmas, and gut-level choices that sidestep socially desirable answers.

The 8-Archetype Model

We map personality onto four primary colors — Red (action), Yellow (expression), Green (harmony), Blue (precision) — with four blended archetypes for people whose scores span two adjacent colors within a 15-percentage-point band.

This is intentionally coarser than 16-type systems, and that is a feature, not a bug. Over-segmented models produce profiles so specific they stop being useful. Eight archetypes are specific enough to yield genuine insight, broad enough to remain culturally portable, and mapped cleanly to validated multi-framework correlates.

Red

Action, power, directness

Yellow

Expression, enthusiasm, ideas

Green

Empathy, harmony, care

Blue

Logic, precision, analysis

Privacy by Design

ColorSpectrum does not require an account, never stores your raw answers on our servers, and all result processing happens inside a Cloudflare Edge Worker that discards answers immediately after computing your token. Your result is encoded in a self-contained signed token you can save or share — we never see it again after delivery.

The optional Color Diary is stored entirely in your browser's localStorage. No analytics SDKs. No cookie banners. No data sold to third parties.

Limitations & Responsible Use

Personality assessments are descriptive tools, not diagnostic ones. ColorSpectrum is designed for self-reflection, team communication, and career exploration — not for hiring decisions, clinical diagnosis, or academic credentialing. Personality is fluid; re-take the test after major life transitions and notice how your spectrum shifts.
